Hi Jerry, Yes I know your roots are interesting. I think sometimes the more we learn about them, the more we want to know more.Once again I started taking Swedish lessons last fall that stopped for the winter but resume this coming Monday in Scandia. I also took a Gen Line subscription this past winter for a few weeks and found out more information about my Mothers roots from Dalarna. It just wants me to learn more about some of them. It was a hard life for many. Yes The church had a lot of power. Also have started my true cow and train story. Mora certainly had rail service, enough said. I look forward to reading your newest books.Glennie

Somewhere I read that you talked to Dean Kaplin about the modern role of "eugenics" in the test tube. What was the name of the book from the U of Penn? I can not locate your original comment?
Thank you, Ralph A.

Hi Jerry, Finally I have ordered the rest of your books. The checks in the mail. Also thank you for the comments of youself and others in your latest E-mail. I have just been putting together my deceased Father's persoal memories of being born in Dalsland, Sweden and working in both Sweden and Norway before he emmigrated here in 1925, and his history into noteboks for our children and grandchildren to inspire some of them about the rich heritage they share. It has been very rewarding for me to put it all in one compact notebook for each of them.As so much of it I had never paid that much attention to. Now I am also doing much the same with what my mother left of her memories.Vallkula had thus inspired me to do this even more so with my mother's story, being she grew up in Mora, just blocks away from Mora Kyrka. Also that it was her family that had a cabin and barn, where her Aunt brought the cow fro Stockholm every year. It also gives me a chance to try and read all the old Swedish words, as she even understood and spoke some of the Dalien dialect from her area. I see by your schedule that you have a lot of events planned for this year in the nearby areas. I hope to maybe see you at some, or sit down and have coffee some where and talk some about Sweden and Norway. Please feel free to call and stop by any time you are near here. I will show you some of those memories my parents left for us.
Best regards and good writing!
Glennie Gilleen

Hello Connie,

If you don't tell me where we met, I certainly won't be able to remember; sorry. So many friendly people stop to chat, purchase a book and tell me their special Nordic tales. I wish I could record and publish them all. Perhaps the next time we meet, you will identify yourself.

The next novel should be published before Hostfest, the end of September; hope you won't be disappointed.
