Some hints about the next novel
Have you ever seen this movie: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Search ? I haven't. I stumbled upon the link while researching the next novel. I would like to see this.
After the popularity of "My Enemy's Child" and its WW-II theme, I decided to remain with that theme for the next novel, as it seems to have a strong fascination to the reading world. I continue to be told personal accounts of the war years.
My next novel cover is being thought through by the award winning photographer, Therese Nahlbom, in Sweden (the nurse who shot "Vallkulla" covers. She has a synopsis of what I'd like to see for the cover and ad work. Maybe I'll offer a hint of the "future" when she comes back with some of her ideas. No doubt it will be first rate.
The Lebensborn theme has continued to fascinate me. A Norwegian man told me about discovering he and his brother were both Lebensborn children of different fathers. He's working on a book about his experience of uncovering this information. When its ready, I'll pass along anything I can. If you want to learn more, go to our Smultron Publishing website's Reader's Forum: www.smultron-pub.com/Forum/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=2&sid=0571c39a74184f77a245a022a8391871
In my next novel you will discover two women, both nurses; one, Alena, a German, the other, Karin, a Norwegian/Swedish girl, who both attend nursing university together. Thought they're exact opposites, personality wise, they're best of friends until graduation, afterwhich they eventually part.
The German nurse Alena works her way up to the war years, eventually supervising an euthenasia clinic in Germany, while the Norwegian/Swedish nurse, Karin, having returned to Trondheim Norway is working there in a clinic when the German invasion occurs. She soon meets and falls in love with a young German Luftwaffe pilot officer who has been injured in a flying accident.
Eventually, he's discharged but they meet again on another occasion, this time at a clinic in Stavanger, where she's been transferred. Opportunity gives them more time together and they fall head over heels for one another.
I can't give away what happens next....
In 1944 Karin escapes to Sweden and after its founding, joins the UNRRA and using captuered German adoption records, begins to find adopted children (in Germany) and resettle stolen children from Eastern Europe with their natural parents.

Years later, in the 1960s, long after the war's end, Karin learns there is to be trial of nurses who have recently been implicated in the euthenasia projects of the 1930s and '40s and Alena is one of these nurses.

Sorry, but I have to leave it there. I hope you've been hooked and will want to purchase the new novel.

Mr. Revelle, by the sound of it this new work will equal your others. You won't remember talking to me I know but I purchased The Enemys Child last year and I just finished the Vvallkulla books. I wish to express my thanks for writing them.I truly love to read and your tales were magnificent for we scandinavians.

Hello Connie,
If you don't tell me where we met, I certainly won't be able to remember; sorry. So many friendly people stop to chat, purchase a book and tell me their special Nordic tales. I wish I could record and publish them all. Perhaps the next time we meet, you will identify yourself.
The next novel should be published before Hostfest, the end of September; hope you won't be disappointed.
