Sons of Norway District Convention-Mankato Minnesota

Many thanks to the Sons of Norway for the venue in Mankato at the district convention.  We made many new Norwegian friends and also renewed former acquaintances.  For the first time, the novel Vallkulla outsold My Enemy's Child.

Could this be a trend?  Certainly very many Norwegian Americans are familiar with the summer pastures...seter and the seter jente who peopled them.  I find the pronunciation of this term such a beautiful reflection of our language tradition, the way it lilts from the tongue when spoken.

Hi..I think you two guys were the only Swedes in the building. How did that feel. Seriously, Muriel and I appreciated the info about the Mormon records. Muriel is about to finish chapter 14 of the spy story. She told me I will like the fishing story.
    See ya next year, Swede
